Big Motoring World has announced plans to expand, creating a further 300 jobs in Kent within the next four years.
Following last month’s record-breaking sales figures, the UK’s largest independent retailer of second-hand BMWs and Mercedes is proud to announce the expansion plans which will also retain the current 250 jobs in the company.
The current site holds just over 750 cars and the planned expansion will see the main Canterbury site holding over 1,000 cars at any one time. That means that the group will be able to hold 1,500 cars across the four sites at any one given time – further increasing the industry-leading choice available to the consumer.
The company will therefore be providing Kent with 550 jobs by 2019, which coincides with the group’s support of a wide range of other firms in Kent and contribution to the local economy.
Peter Waddell, founder and CEO of Big Motoring World, said: “We are delighted with how the first phase is progressing and we are looking forward to working with the relevant councils in the months to come.
“Our expansion will help propel the business into the next stage of its development. We are excited about providing more job opportunities in Kent and becoming one of the key employers in the area.”
